Becky recently visited her Opthamologist and was told she has diabetic retinopathy (bleeding retinas), which she was already aware of, but was also told she has glaucoma. She will be needing cataract surgery and glaucoma surgery to relieve the pressure that is pressing on her optic nerve (which is the cause of blindness in glaucoma patients). Just more issues that are a direct result of diabetes.
